a person who believes in the religion in which all objects, living and non-living, such as animals, trees, mountains, and even the sky, have souls and in the existence of spirits in the bodies, which can be separated; in simple, a person who thinks that all the objects in this world have souls and spirits in them and treats them as living things,

modern-day animists at a worship

e.g.

The Inuit, the people living in the Arctic region, are animists.

Some animist tribes are: Hmongs of Vietnam; Banja, Bozos and Kagoro along the River Niger in Mali, Kirdi of Cameroon and the Inuit of Arctic region.
