a kind of fish, known also as ‘kawai’, found in E India and South Eastern Asian countries; the fish called ‘gourami’ and ‘climbing perch’ belong to ‘anabas’ group,

 

 

Special Features:
This fish is an air-breathing food fish, and is known to climb trees in search of prey (food), and therefore, is also called climbing perch.
