allusive   —   elusive

Allusive” is the adjective form of allusion and means ‘(of something) not directly expressed’,

e.g.

His allusive style of speaking made him unpopular because no one could understand what was talking about.

Elusive” is also an adjective which means ‘(of something or someone) difficult to find, understand, define, or remember’,

e.g.

She fell in love with such an elusive person that she spent most of her time looking for him.
