agoraphobic:

(plural: ‘agoraphobics‘; pronunciation: the letter ‘g’ is said with a ‘g’ as in “gun” and the letter ‘c’ is said with a ‘k’ sound as in “king”)

a person who suffers from the unknown fear of open or public spaces, and as a result the person stays at home most of the time,

e.g.

The home-delivery system has helped more and more agoraphobics who are afraid of going out to a supermarket to buy their groceries because now these agoraphobics can always stay in the comfort of their homes and get whatever they need just by ordering on phone without having to go out.

It helps a lot for an agoraphobic to know that agoraphobia is just another type of panic attack and can be cured or controlled by medication and determination.

‘Agoraphobic’ is more commonly used in its adjective form, e.g. “She often shows signs of agoraphobic tendencies.”
