(plural: ‘adepts‘)

an adept photographer

a person who is highly skilled in some activity;

an expert in some activity, such as photography, fixing broken things, etc.; a dab hand,

adept mechanics

e.g.

My son is an adept in photography.

My boss is an adept at making employees work overtime without paying anything extra!

Note: ‘Adept’ is more commonly used as an adjective to refer to people with extra-ordinary skills, e.g. ‘an adept photographer’, ‘an adept liar’, ‘an adept mechanic’, etc.
